Trucks that Ram…

Ram Trucks are heating up. They were just named fastest growing truck in America. And US News and World Report ranked the Ram 1500 number two overall for 2018. Who does this make happy besides truck owners? Our very own car guy, Big Al Heggs of Heggs Auto Group.

Now that the Jeeps have moved across the street, there’s more room on the lot for Ram trucks which sport just about every configuration a guy, or gal, could need for work. The 1500 may be a lighter work truck but the lot is filled with the big guys as well.

Need a landscape dump, service body, stake bed, contractor or platform body? Or are you more in need of a welder, chipper, dump, hauler or refrigerated truck? Yup, they’re here for the taking.

We know he can build it. Last year we had Big Al create a hauling van for our favorite charity, Happily Ever After League. The van was fitted with everything HEAL needs to help cancer moms and the wrap is pretty as well. Yeah, Al will take care of the wrap too. What are you waiting for?

But right now it’s the Ram 1500 in the news. Why? Raked #2 in full size pickups, it scored 8.6 out of 10 based on 79 bits of evaluation using various sources. Us News noted that, “It excels in some areas you might not normally expect from a pickup.” Things like ride quality, upscale interior, fuel-efficent turbodiesel and comfort. New for 2018: rearview camera standard. Add to that seating for 2-6 and 15-20 in the city and 21-28 on the highway and you’ve got an uptick in truck.

If you’re towing or hauling a big load you might want to pick a more powerful Ram truck. Either way, reviewers noted the comfortable ride and arguably the nicest interior in its class. Both rows of seats are spacious and the infotainment center makes sense to even the most technically challenged.

For better mileage, opt for the turbodiesel, which boasts 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the road. Combine that with what reviewers call “the smoothest ride of any truck,” and your decision might be made. Add to that, when equipped the Ram 1500 can tow 10,640 pounds and haul 1880 pounds without feeling it.

As for cargo space, there are three bed lengths: 5’7′, 6’4″ and 8 feet. Short beds are available with a RamBox, the storage system built into the rails. As for that infotainment system, there’s a standard USB port and six-speaker audio system. Also available: sunroof, Bluetooth, 10-speaker audio, satellite radio, navigation and voice activated Uconnect with a 5- or 8.4 inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The lot’s full and the inventory is pretty. Give Big Al a call 480-830-8002 or look at online inventory here. and tell him what you need. Oh–and tell him The Duchess sent you. It’ll be worth it!
