The Duke Weighs In…

In keeping with the spirit of the Regular Girls Favorite Things list, we consulted The Duke of Cars for a recommendation of a car that’s fun, festive and affordable. He delivered the Jeep Patriot, which can show off a girl’s adventurous side as well as give her enough room to carry all her shoes if the need presents itself.
The 2016 features some changes. The Patriot was introduced in 2007 to less than stellar reviews. Seems a while back, the criticism was that it wasn’t very “posh” and it had some noise problems. The original Patriot was even called, “loud and sluggish” by one reviewer. Pfft. Those days are gone.
The Patriot, with the same aggressive exterior styling, includes the seven-slot grille—a hallmark of the Jeep brand. Girls who are into cars always examine both the front and rear view. Kind of like before you leave the house for a soiree. Make sure all looks good coming and going, non? It remains the traditional four-door Jeep wagon we all know but now it can handle rough roads and poor weather, offering both front-wheel and four- wheel drive.

The interior is, in fact, spacious enough for family and includes soft touch spots. It boasts chrome accents and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. There’s enough cargo space for the biggest fashionista, or dance mom, and available flip down lift gate speakers for those parties in the desert. Country music, anyone?

The base model includes: fog lamps, lighted cup holders, tilt steering, cruise control, roof side rails, tinted glass and auxiliary input. The Latitude Model adds air conditioning (not everyone lives on the surface of the sun), power heated mirrors, fold-flat passenger seat and audio controls in the steering wheel.

For those who play the numbers game, The Patriot earned a four out of five stars in overall safety, gets up to 23 mph in the city and 30 on the highway. MSRP $17,595.
As for The Duke, he’s got a whole bunch in great colors on the lot waiting for dolls to scoop them up. Tell him you’re one of the Duchess Dolls and see what happens.
